Lupin III - First Series Episode 10

Hunt Down the Counterfeiter!

Two guys are driving and Lupin and Jigen jump in front of their car and start lobbing dynamite at them. The car blows up and they steal a suitcase filled with money. (Bundles of tens, at that. I'd hate to know what methods they would use to steal a suitcase filled with hundreds...)

Lupin and Jigen are flying in a plane, Jigen with his leg hanging out of it, which I don't think is very safe. The money was counterfeit and Lupin says he hates bad counterfeits, so Jigen dumps them over a city, where even the people snatching them from the air realize they are fakes.

A guy with a stunning blond pompadour (who scares me as he looks like Lupin and Zenigata's love child in a blond wig) is all angry and asks some bald guy (Gah! He looks like another love child. A bald love child...who squints...) to kill Lupin. Bald guy suggests Fujiko, as she is a better assassin than him. Fujiko enters the room as if on cue and tells them Lupin is looking for Kela, some counterfeiter.

Lupin and Jigen are still in the plane and Fujiko flies up to them and shoots their plane down. Baldy and Blondy are in a helicopter and fly over the crash site. Fujiko has landed and is standing looking at the burning plane, all sad and stuff as she thinks Lupin is dead. But he isn't and he and Jigen steal her plane.

There is a clock on a tall snowy tower and some old lady is driven up to it and enters the mountain. Inside is the workings for the clock. Baldy and blondy are standing around and the old lady sees them. They ask her where Kela is. She tells them both he and she are retired from the counterfeiting business.

Zenigata shows up to see the old lady and tells her Lupin is there. The lady replies by having arrows shoot out at him, Zenigata able to avoid all of the projectiles. She knows that Zenigata is really Lupin, able to see through his disguise. Lupin then addresses the old lady as the Silver Fox. He tries to warn her and she tries to kill him again.

Lupin and Jigen enter a hotel room and Fujiko is inside to greet them. She makes a deal to tell Lupin where Kela is as long as she gets to work with him. Jigen decides to pull out and leaves. Lupin tries to stop him, but lets him go and agrees with Fujiko. She informs him that Kela is inside the clock.

Blondy and Baldy return with more men and no one can find Kela. Blondy is mad and he and Baldy go off to find him. Lupin is there, though, and gets to Kela first, finding him in a room with counterfeit bills and printing presses.

Lupin tries to talk Kela into joining him, but Kela refuses, saying he wants to watch over the clock tower. Lupin is persistent and Kela presses a button and the floor below Lupin opens and he falls and falls and falls and lands in the room where Baldy and Blondy are. They all then get dumped out into the snow. Lupin jumps in a car and Blondy tells the others to chase him, so they do. (Kind of awesome how they put the small detail of snow chains on the car tires.) Baldy shoots up Lupin's car and he bails from it before it explodes.

Inside the mountain are Silver Fox and Kela, watching when Blondy barges in and demands Kela come with him, taking him by gunpoint. Silver Fox shoots Blondy, who shoots Silver Fox. Kela is sad as he watches Silver Fox die.

Baldy is still chasing and shooting at Lupin, but both are interrupted by Fujiko, who destroys the one good car, leaving Lupin and Baldy to fight.

Saddened, Kela blows up the mountain as Lupin and Baldy are still beating the crap out of each other. (Disturbing lumps covering their heads! Eww, kill it!!)

Lupin is then rambling on incoherently like some hyperactive spazz while Jigen walks alongside him, bored of it all.

I didn't notice any subtitles that were funny. A few places the spelling and grammar were screwed up, but nothing that made me laugh or amused me.
