Lupin III - First Series Episode 6
Lupin is running to a house in the pouring rain. Jigen is there and notices a piece of paper on Lupin's back. (Which would be so messed up with all that rain pouring on it...) A man then comes to the door, saying he's there to pick Lupin up. The man says he is known as "child's menu". Jigen then says he doesn't look delicious. (....eww) But the guy has something to do with the note, saying a lady needs his help. (So, he puts a note on Lupin's back and then comes to get him? Seems kind of strange...)
Lupin is driven to a huge house. Of course when he enters Fujiko is there. She tells Lupin that she needs to know why some ugly guy has amnesia and who he is.
Jigen talks about how he can't get himself to like Fujiko as he and Lupin walk. A car comes towards them, shooting at them. Lupin gets hit, but it's only a scratch. (Your arms off!) The car then gets blown up.
Lupin gets his flesh wound treated and the doctor just happens oh so very conveniently see the photo of the ugly guy, saying he's the boss of some underground mob or something. Words were sort of missing from the subtitles. ("Who the hell he?") The doctors friend conducted surgery on Ugly (I've given him a new name, yay!) and disappeared around when the amnesia struck.
Lupin and Jigen rush off to the house to find Fujiko sitting next to Ugly's bed, Ugly laying in it dead. The guy who had shot at them in the car that got exploded is there. (Does nobody die in explosions?) He says he's the boss' underling and goes on about how after the surgery the boss gave him and the doctor temporary amnesia to keep his secret safe.
It seems that when Ugly built the mansion he had an amnesia device secretly installed. Because every mob boss needs a secret amnesia machine. Yeah...
The doctor, though, ended up getting scared and tried to run, but was shot. All in the name of safe secrets.
Lupin thinks Fujiko knows the secret, so he tries to make out with her. (Any excuse, right?) He soon finds a gun in his face, though. The guy holding the gun says the boss will be cremated, which upsets Fujiko and she runs off. Lupin then gets brutalized, getting the gun smashed over his head. Jigen, as usual, is clueless and strolls in. Well, he ran in, but whatever. Lupin tells him to get people together, as the secret is inside the boss' body.
Insert a bunch of crap here which was better displayed in the manga. Moving on....
Zenigata is there as Ugly is loaded up into the car. Inside, Lupin goes through the plan. We now see that his watch has gotten a lot less fancier than from the first episode.
The plan is put into place, the cars are switched, Lupin follows the car with the body, he jumps into the back, slices the body open and retrieves the lost diamond. He leaves, the cars switch back, and Lupin then stupidly tosses the diamond to the underling, who then tosses it to Fujiko. She drives off, the underling gets shot, Zenigata sets up a roadblock, Lupin evades it and escapes.
And then Fujiko runs the diamond up and down her naked body as she sits in the bath.
Oh thank goodness that episode is over.
There were a lot of messed up subtitles and to be honest I was half paying attention, writing this as it played, so I didn't notice all of what was said. The child's menu thing was odd, though.
